3rd Grade Reading Scores

The State of Florida released the 3rd grade reading scores on the state exam. Once again, True North students were amongst the top in the state – ranking #5 out of almost 2,200 schools.    They were tied for the 1st in the County for the number of students that scored at the highest level (level 5).

True North students scored 95% proficient in reading (compared to district average of 60%)  with 61% of True North students scoring above the basic proficiency level (compared to to the district score of 32%).

What’s more impressive is that these scores were achieved by immersing our students in great literature, history and stories from the Jr. Great Books series.  Below is our 3rd grade reading list.
